You get nothing in the news but Brexit and divisive rhetoric, then 200 thousand people attend the Durham Miners' Gala! It was good that we took part not just for the sake of uniting our struggles against the tyranny of big business, but also because it is a wonderful day and lifts people's spirits. We think there is a strengthening desire for people to speak in their own name, in defence of what is important to them, for our values and our fight for the alternative.
