SSTHC is calling on people to take part in a protest lobby of the South Tyneside and Sunderland CCG.
This is the day the South Tyneside and Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group make the decision on the future of children's 24/7 A&E, maternity and stroke services at South Tyneside District Hospital. After the lobby takes place we will be attending the meeting, which is open to the public 2pm till 4pm.
Nothing the CCG decides will take away the right of the people of South Tyneside to the hospital services that they wish to downgrade. It seems we no longer have a public authority standing up for the rights of the people of South Tyneside to healthcare. People have to take control of society and build a movement to safeguard the future of the NHS.
